It has been brought to my attention, that I officially suck at blogging! Yay me, right? *Sigh*
Anyways, this was a topic I can't help but blogging about, because it's a huge annoyance to me, and many other mama's.
Ever find your self in a mall, restaurant, or event, and all of a sudden you spot "the cutest baby everrrr"? Everyone has. Don't deny it. Then without even thinking about it, you go over to this little person, talk to them in a baby voice saying how adorable they are, and how you just want to eat their cheeks. At this point, you really can't help yourself with those adorable tubby cheeks, and you to touch/pinch/pat them. After this, some proceed to tickle this adorable child, some even kiss their feet, and some, (yes - I have seen this) even lift up the tiny little shirts, to blow raspberries on the child's belly. All this, while not knowing this little person, or even acknowledging that there is a parent holding this child.
Don't get me wrong, seeing an itty bitty face with fat cheeks is pretty much the best thing in the world; the second best thing is kissing them. Howeverrrrrr, what really gets me, is wondering WHY people do this. Would you ever do that to an 8 year old you didn't know? How about a 16 year old? No? Why not? Oh yeah.. There is a little thing called personal space.
So why is it okay to invade the personal space of a baby/young child, when that is something you would NEVER consider doing to anyone above the age of 10? Nor, something you could get away with..
This kind of turned into a rant.. it is what it is!
